New York City...Concrete Jungle...

"The Great Lawn" at Central Park

An entertainer in the middle of Central Park...these little girls were fascinated by it! I was too! I stopped to watch for several minutes!

Central Park...an green oasis in the middle of all that noise! Here's the famous boat pond...scene in many movies.

The Great Lawn as the sign said...a huge green area including a baseball field, all right in the middle of Central Park. This is were New Yorkers do their sunbathing apparently! We saw lots! Apparently pools are hard to come by in NYC!

The VERY top of the Empire State Building! Lights up red, white, and blue!

A picture of Manhattan at night from the top of the Empire State Building. What a sight! You can see the Chrysler Building in the background.

Here she is...what a surreal experience to see her in person! WOW!

View of Manhattan from the ferry on our way to Liberty Island to see the Statue of Liberty!

Lady Liberty in the distance on 4th of July. We had to wait in line over an hour for ferry tickets and then for several hours to get on the ferry to go to Liberty Island. Well worth it though...what a way to spend the 4th!

NBC News in Rockefeller Plaza...apparently New Yorkers really do get their news this way!

Another shot of Rockefeller Plaza...

At the heart of Times Square...we never did find out the importance of the red, guarded, seating; however, in the background, you can see advertisements for all the shows that were playing on Broadway while we were there. My friends and I saw Jersey Boys (the story of The Four Seasons) and it was PHENOMENAL! Probably the highlight of my trip, if I had to pick just one!

This is where the ball drops in Times Square...pretty cool! I've seen it on TV so many times!

I don't think I would ever get used to the hustle and bustle of the city that never sleeps! All those people! An AMAZING trip that I'll never forget! But, all in all, I think I'm a country girl at heart!

Scenes from Summer

Summer is a precious time to me...it means lot of time with my boys! Too bad it goes by so quickly! This summer has been pact full of fun times! Here are a few pics from our family vacation in Branson a few weeks ago. I took the opportunity to get a couple of shots of the boys...it's been awhile since I've gotten a cute picture of the two of them together. Eli also found his skateboarding groove on our trip. Can't say his board has seen much action since we've been home, but who can blame him in this stifling summer heat we're having!

2nd Annual Rock Band Camp: Lone Wolf

Noah participated in his second year of Band Camp @ M7 Studios and had a blast again! His group did an outstanding job creating and performing their new song. What a difference a year makes! You can definitely see the growth in the band members from first year to second year. Noah has been taking guitar lessons for a year now and will start 6th grade beginning band at Northridge Middle School playing percussion this fall. I am so proud of his musical talents and hope that he stays focused on his gift and keeps at it for a lifetime!
