New Arrival Coming Soon!

A dedication to my future niece...
We can't wait to meet you!
I'm sorry to say I will be dressing you cutesy and adorning you with hairbows, so be prepared!
You will likely have your big cousins Noah and Eli wrapped around your little finger, as you will our whole family as well, I'm certain. They are so excited to have a baby girl around!
You will be the most protected little girl with all these boys around...sorry, you won't have a chance to get out of line!
See you in a couple of months...we love you already!

Book Report: Twilight Update

I'm sad to say that I'm on book number four, the last book of the Twilight Saga. They have been awesome! I'm not sure which is my favorite yet, but all of them get a definite thumbs up!
I've thoroughly enjoyed my escape reading them.
So...if you're planning a roadtrip this summer, I recommend this series to help get you to your destination!

My Book Report: Twilight Series, Book 1

Just finished my first book on the Kindle...
I started on the "Twilight" series last week...it's like over a 500 page book and I finished it in a week. It certainly lived up to the hype. An interesting twist on a love story...I like that it's so different than what I usually read! And I have to say, I'm hooked on the Kindle even more now, I just don't think I can go back to turning pages in a real book again! :)
My rating: ***** (5 stars out of 5)

Amazon Kindle 2

Loving the new Amazon Kindle 2! Rocky got me one for my birthday and I just have to say...it's awesome! If you like to read...it's a MUST! I downloaded my first book last night. Everyone at school is going on and on about the "Twilight" series, so I broke down and decided to give it a read.
At first, I thought I would miss the "physicalness" of holding a book, but I really haven't. In fact, it's kinda nice because you don't have to worry about holding the pages down and using a bookmark to keep your place. It's not as much like reading off a computer screen as I thought it was going to be. Plus, you can order covers for them (mine is on the way) that sorta make it "booklike."
So let me describe the awesomeness of the Kindle...
1. You never have to plug it in to the computer...everything is downloaded wirelessly. So COOL! So like if you're traveling, or just sitting somewhere bored and you don't have any reading material...you can just go to the Kindle store (on your Kindle) and download a book right then...no shipping, no waiting and BOOM, in less than a minute you've got yourself a brand new book to read. (Oh, and did I mention you can download magazines, blogs, newspapers, etc.)
2. Since the Kindle is equipped with a wireless chip, you can go to internet sites, send and receive documents, etc.
3. That's all I've discovered so far...but there are probably more features. I'll keep you posted as new discoveries occur! :)

So, I'm thinking they should hire me as a spokesperson. What do you think? :)

Lesson Learned

Wow, it's been so long since I've blogged that I couldn't remember my password to login!
Anyway...

Rocky and I have been talking alot this weekend about many things, among them being plans for the future. As we were reflecting over the past year, I think I came to the realization that as hard as it has been, I've really learned some valueable lessons about life and myself over the past eight months. I've been broken down to my lowest point both mentally and physically, confidence shattered, but as the last few months of school approach, I am proud to say that I have OVERCOME! I guess sometimes you have to be broken to be strong enough for the next thing life throws at you.
I don't know what the next phase of my professional life will be, but I hope you all will join me in praying and believing that it will be a place of happiness and contentment, a place where I can continue to grow, but where I can find a "home" for many years to come.
I just have to say that I could not have made it through this year without my Lord, Jesus Christ and my biggest supporter, my husband, who has been my rock, my shoulder to cry on and the one to put things in perspective for me when I became to overwhelmed to see the whole picture.
He is truly my best friend. Thanks, dear!

Future Rockers

Check out Noah and Eli rockin' out to our early "family" Christmas present from Rocky: "Guitar Hero: Rock Band." I believe pictured here, they are groovin' to "Beat It!" Of course, Noah was whining because they got "booed" off the stage since Eli couldn't sing all the words. Those pesky little brothers, they just can't do anything right!
I have to admit, it's pretty fun and easily addictive!
A shout out to Shawn and Kim, who helped us break it in. And who will not soon forget Rocky's performance to "No Sleep Until Brooklyn!"
Come jam with us some time!

Happy Birthday!

Happy Birthday, Noah & Eli!
Eli, 5 - December 12th
Noah, 9 - December 3rd
